Technology and Electric Utilities – the next 20 years

The energy marketplace and consumer expectations will evolve over the next five, 10, and 20 years and so should the electric grid. What characteristics or attributes will be most important and what strategies will be needed to bring them to life? Do we concentrate on the most far-reaching technologies or go for the basic building blocks? What role do data and analytics play in the smart grid? Where will the leadership for this ever-changing grid come from?
